The Midcreek pages will hopefully give a flavour of the house and its surroundings.
This is our mascot - the Little Egret. Our local egret, affectionately known as Eddie, is a long-term resident of the creek.
Apart from the usual gulls, mute swans and mallards, other birds seen in the creek include redshank, greenshank, oystercatchers, cormorants, kingfishers, grey herons, shelduck and occasionally rarer visitors such as Egyptian Geese.
The river itself has resident seals in the winter and dolphins visit from time to time, although they do not venture into the creek.
The local railway features a regular steam-hauled service, and restored steam locomotives often visit from further afield. Our site does include many photographs of them!
For anyone who is a fan of Sudoku puzzles, a home-grown Windows program that describes and demonstrates the techniques that will solve them is available for download from here. If you are stuck on one, the program will help you solve it - or just solve it for you!
